Joshua Baraka
Joshua Baraka, born 13 December 2000 in Kawempe, Uganda, is a singer and
songwriter whose musical upbringing was shaped by a choir‑loving mother. He
first entered the scene with the debut EP Baby Steps in 2021, featuring the
track "Be Me". His breakthrough came in 2023 with the single "Nana", which
charted across East Africa and led to the album Growing Pains. In 2024 he
expanded the project into a deluxe edition, added the Amapiano‑influenced
"Alone" with Nkosazana Daughter, and was selected as a Spotify RADAR Africa
