Son of saxophonist Dewey Redman (1931-2006), Joshua Redman followed in his
father's footsteps, establishing himself as one of the most gifted musicians of
his generation. Born in Berkeley (California) on February 1, 1969, the Harvard
University graduate also brilliantly passed the Thelonious Monk Institute
competition that same year. His career was launched with a Grammy-nominated
untitled album, and continued with a quartet featuring Pat Metheny, Charlie
Haden and Billy Higgins for the Wish sessions (1993). After collaborating with
