Juca Chaves, born Jurandyr Czaczkes Chaves in Rio de Janeiro on October 22,
1938, was a Brazilian singer-songwriter, humorist, and composer known for
blending sharp satire with refined musicality. Raised in a musical family and
trained in classical music, he began composing as a child and launched his
career in the late 1950s performing modinhas and trovas. By the 1960s, he was
already a well-known figure in Brazil, creating the famous Sdruws circus-show
