Julissa
Julia Isabel de Llano Macedo, known professionally as Julissa, and born in
Mexico City on 8 April 1944, is a singer, theatrical producer, and actress. She
entered the entertainment world as a teenager, joining the rock‑and‑roll group
the Spitfires at age 16 and becoming the only female lead vocalist of the era.
Julissa also released a series of studio albums such as Julissa Y Su Conjunto
(1962), No Se Como Amarlo (1975), and Vaselina (2014). Her career also included
extensive theatre production, bringing Broadway titles to Mexican stages.
