KAD
Kad, originally known as Kadwaladyr, was a French Celtic rock and folk group
from Pontivy, active from 1992 to 2001. Primarily formed by the Mevel siblings,
including Konan, Gurvan, Gwenhaël, and Bleunwenn, the band developed an
experimental style combining Celtic rock and Breton music, folk, jazz, world
music, and electronic influences. Its second album, The Last Hero (1995),
featured Dan Ar Braz and Gilles Servat and was distributed by Musea. Kad
performed extensively, including as the opening act for Alan Stivell in Paimpol
