Kaelan Mikla
Kælan Mikla, an Icelandic post-punk band formed in 2013 in Reykjavík, consists
of lead vocalist Laufey Soffía, bassist Margrét Rósa Dóru-Harrýsdóttir and
keyboardist Sólveig Matthildur Kristjánsdóttir. The trio initially came together
for a local poetry contest, combining Matthildur's poems with Rósa's bass and
Soffía's vocals. Their debut album Mánadans was recorded in 2014 and released
via limited edition cassette in 2017. In 2016, they released their self-titled
second album under Fabrika Records. Kælan Mikla gained significant recognition
