Real name Kani Nkshon Shorter Jr, American rapper Kanii was born in Washington
D.C. on August 2, 2005. He began his musical career in 2018 at the age of
thirteen with a first track dropped on a listening platform, "So Long". From
2022 onwards, singles and EPs accumulated at a steady pace, culminating in an
international hit in 2023 for "I Know", his first recording for Masked/Warner
Records, which went from viral status to enter the official U.S. or U.K. charts
