Karen Staley
Karen Staley, born in Weirton, West Virginia, is an American country music
singer-songwriter. Raised in Georgetown, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, she began
writing songs after reading through hymnals at her local church. After attending
West Virginia Wesleyan College and working at a children's home, Staley moved to
Los Angeles and later to Nashville following the closure of her label. In 1989,
she released her debut album Wildest Dreams under MCA Records, which included
