Born Carolina Giraldo Navarro in Medellin, Colombia, on February 14, 1991, Latin
trap and reggaeton singer Karol G first came to prominence on TV talent show The
X-Factor, before continuing her studies and heading for New York to devote
herself to her musical career. It was with the duet "Amor de Dos", recorded in
2013 with Puerto Rican singer Nicky Jam, that she became a household name in her
native country. She followed this up with a string of singles, sometimes again
