Katherine "Kath" Bloom is an American folk songwriter based in Litchfield,
Connecticut. She began her musical journey studying cello as a child and later
took up the guitar during her teenage years. In the early 1970s, Bloom
collaborated with Bruce Neumann before starting to record music with avant-garde
guitarist Loren MazzaCane Connors in 1976. Their collaborations resulted in
multiple albums featuring Bloom's fragile folk and blues melodies, including
Hanford, Bloom And Mazzacane (1981), Pushin' Up Daisies (1982), and Moonlight
