Kazuya Yoshii (October 8, 1966) is a Japanese singer-songwriter who began his
music career as the frontman for the rock band The Yellow Monkey. After playing
bass in the band Urgh Police, he formed The Yellow Monkey in 1988 with Youichi
Hirose and brothers Eiji and Hideaki Kikuchi. The group released three
consecutive Number 1 albums and 17 Top 10 singles before going on an indefinite
hiatus in 2001. “Tali,” his debut single as a solo artist, arrived in 2003 under
