Keedz
The Keedz project, spearheaded by Julien Jabre and Sophie Delila, took everyone
by surprise in October 2011 with the entry of "Stand on the Word " in the SNEP
chart. This original 1982 Joubert Singer track was covered in a garage version
in 1985 by historic DJ Larry Levan of New York's Paradise Garage. Keedz's
version features children's voices. The track was one of France's best-selling
songs in 2011, although it was originally released in 2008. The album Stand on
the Word, released in February 2010, features other, often less successful
covers.
