Ken Yates, born in London, Ontario, is a Canadian folk singer-songwriter. He
studied at the Berklee College of Music and released his debut EP The Backseat
in 2011. His first full-length album, Twenty-Three, followed in 2013. In 2014,
Yates won the Colleen Peterson Songwriting Award for "The One That Got Away."
His second album, Huntsville, produced by Jim Bryson, was released in 2016. In
2017, he received two Canadian Folk Music Awards: New/Emerging Artist of the
