Kevin Dean
Kevin Dean is an American jazz trumpeter, organist, and composer born in 1954 in
Mason City, Iowa. He received a Bachelor of Music from the University of Iowa in
1976 and a Master of Jazz Pedagogy from the University of Miami in 1980. Dean
relocated to Canada to help establish the first university jazz program at St.
Francis Xavier University before joining the faculty at McGill University in
1984. His recording career included the debut studio recording Minor
