KHATIA BUNIATISHVILI
A true child prodigy of the piano, French-born Georgian Khatia Buniatishvili
(born in Batoumi on June 21, 1987) was revealed in 2008 with a 3rd prize at the
Rubinstein Competition. Invited to play at the greatest festivals and on the
greatest classical stages, she made her recording debut with Gidon Kremer for
ECM. Then, under contract to Sony Classical, the concert artist specializing in
the Romantic repertoire recorded her first recital devoted to Franz Liszt
(2011). The following year saw the release of a new volume dedicated to Chopin.
