Kiki Gyan was born Kofi Kwarko Gyan on June 7, 1957 in Takoradi, Ghana. He began
playing piano at age five and turned professional by twelve. In 1972, he joined
Osibisa as their keyboardist. With Osibisa, he toured internationally throughout
the 1970s. By 18, Gyan had achieved significant financial success. In 1979, he
left Osibisa to pursue a solo career, releasing his debut single "24 Hours in a
Disco" which charted in both the United States and the UK. His solo albums
include Afro Reggae (1977), Feeling So Good (1979), and Feelin' Alright (1983).
