Kim Bum-ryong, born on July 8, 1959, in Seoul, Republic of Korea, is a Korean
singer-songwriter. He began his music career as a vocalist for the duo Bin
Sooreh and won an award at the Yeonpo Music Festival in 1982 with his original
song "Inyeon." Kim Bum-ryong made his solo debut in 1985 with the release of his
first album, Kim Bum-ryong 1st Album, which included the hit single "Wind Wind
Wind." This song topped the charts for five consecutive weeks on KBS2's Gayo Top
Ten and earned him the Best New Male Artist award at the 1985 KBS Music Awards.
