Kirsti Sparboe, born on December 7, 1946, in Tromsø, Norway, is a Norwegian
singer and actress. She began her musical career at a young age, participating
in the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time in 1965 with "Karusell", which
placed thirteenth. Sparboe's involvement in the contest continued with notable
entries such as "Dukkemann" in 1967, which won the Norwegian pre-selection but
finished fourteenth in Eurovision, and "Oj, oj, oj, så glad jeg skal bli" in
