in Kyoto. She achieved professional recognition after winning the DIG STAR
audition held by the label GIZA Studio in 2002. Her recording career began with
the debut single "MeiQ!?-Meikyū-MAKE YOU-" (2003) which reached number 15 on the
Oricon charts and served as an opening theme for the anime Detective Academy Q.
