Kix, an American glam metal band from Hagerstown, Maryland, was formed in 1976
under the name "The Shooze" by Ronnie "10/10" Younkins and Donnie Purnell. The
band underwent several lineup changes before settling on the name Kix in 1980.
Their debut album Kix was released in 1981. In 1983, they achieved their first
chart success with the album Cool Kids, which reached number 177 on the
Billboard charts. The band's breakthrough came with the release of "Don't Close
Your Eyes" from the album Blow My Fuse in 1988, which sold 850,000 units and
