Knats is a British contemporary jazz band formed by Newcastle musicians Stan
Woodward (bass) and King David-Ike Elechi (drums). Accompanied by other
collaborators including Ferg Kilsby (trumpet), Sandro Shar (keyboards), George
Johnson (saxophone) and Cooper Robson (vocals), they play a jazz fusion open to
rap, Latin and electronic influences on the albums Knats (2025) and A Great Day
in Newcastle (2026), produced by Geordie Greep, former member of the group Black
Midi.
