KOAN Sound
Jim Bastow and Will Weeks formed the Bristol-based electronic duo KOAN Sound in
2008, building on influences ranging from contemporary classical music to
technical metal. The pair initially rode the dubstep wave of the late 2000s
before incorporating more organic elements, adding jazz, funk, and ambient
sounds to their rapidly-expanding palette. No stranger to the festival circuit,
KOAN Sound has appeared on major stages in Australia, Europe, and at multiple
incarnations of the Electric Daisy Carnival.
