Kool Savas (born February 10, 1975 in Aachen) is a singer and rapper from Germany. Born Savaş Yurderi, he has been a major figure in the Berlin hip-hop scene since the mid-1990s. It was not until 2001 that Kool Savas, with the support of R&B singer Valezka, made his first chart entry with the EP Haus & Boot. In 2002, Kool Savas' debut album Der Beste Tag Meines Lebens is released. The longplayer made it into the top 10 of the German charts at number 6.
