La-Ong-Fong is a Thai pop band formed in Bangkok, Thailand, in 1996. The name of
the band was derived from the French word “enfant”, meaning child, which was
transliterated as “Ong-Fong”, with the prefix “La” added to sound Thai; this
created a double meaning, with the Thai words “la-ong” and “fong” translating to
drizzle and bubble. Influenced by Swedish pop, the group's history began with
the meeting of Pongchuk Pissathanporn and Visa Attaseri at the Coke Duet Singing
