Land of Talk
Land of Talk is a Canadian indie rock band formed in 2006 in Montreal, Quebec.
Led by singer and guitarist Elizabeth Powell, who began her musical career as a
solo artist under the name ELE_K. The band released their first EP, Applause
Cheer Boo Hiss, in 2006, featuring the single "Summer Special". Their debut
full-length album, Some Are Lakes, was produced by Justin Vernon of Bon Iver and
released in 2008. The band toured extensively, including with Broken Social
