Born Léandre Éthier, he is a Quebec pop singer. He started out as a backing
vocalist for singer Sass Jordan in the late 1980s. Léandre won a contest with
Montreal radio station CHOM-FM and released his first album, Prendre le Temps,
in 1990. Several of the songs on this album became hits in Quebec, including "
Goodbye My Love " and " On court toujours ". In 1995, he released his second
album, Libre, with the hit " J't'attendrai ", which reached the top 10 of the
