Son of successful singer Tino Rossi and actress Lilia Vetti, Laurent Rossi (1948-2015) launched his career in the late 1960s, recording a dozen singles into the 1980s. Although he failed to make a real impact on the variety scene, the charming singer gained notoriety thanks to other achievements: the 1974 disco hit "El Bimbo" by the group Bimbo Jet created with Claude Morgan, the soccer anthem "Forza Bastia, forza Corsica" (1978) and the main theme of the film Notre histoire (1984).
