Lea Lu
Lea Lu is a Swiss singer and songwriter born as Lea Dudzik in 1984 in Zürich.
She began playing the violin at age five and later learned singing, piano, and
guitar. Lu is a synesthete who perceives tones and numbers as colors. In 2002,
she became the lead vocalist for the jazz-pop ensemble Nexus while studying at
Realgymnasium Rämibühl. The group won the newcomer award at the Young Lions
Swiss Jazz Festival and performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2004. Lu made
her solo debut in July 2007 and released the debut extended play Hawaii (2008).
