Lechero Mon (Francisco Ábalos Morales, born 1981) is a Chilean rapper closely
associated with Quilicura in north Santiago, known for “poblacional” rap that
mixes everyday neighborhood detail, blunt social commentary, and humor without
slipping into caricature. He discovered rap through late-1980s/early-1990s pop
exposure in Chile, started out with breakdance, and began writing verses after
his family moved to Población Parinacota, a setting that became central to his
