Lee Andrews & the Hearts
Lee Andrews & the Hearts was an American doo-wop quintet from Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania, established in 1953. The ensemble was led by vocalist Lee Andrews,
whose real name was Arthur Lee Andrews Thompson, and featured first tenor Roy
Calhoun, second tenor Thomas “Butch” Curry, baritone Ted Weems, and bass
vocalist Wendell Calhoun. Managed by Kae Williams, the group recorded for
several record companies during their career, including Gotham, Rainbow,
Mainline, Chess, and United Artists Records. Their recording career began with
