Les Shleu‑Shleu is a Haitian kompa band formed in 1965 in Port-au-Prince by
former members of Les Frères Lorenceau and Les Manfoubins. Managed by Hugues
“Dada” Jackaman and directed by saxophonist Tony Moïse, the group became
associated with the emerging mini-jazz movement after Nemours Jean-Baptiste gave
them the name Mini Jazz during their first performance. Their recordings include
Haiti, Mon Pays (1967), Tête Chauve (1969), Succès Des Shleu-Shleu A Paris
(1972), and Pionniers "La Tradition Continue..." (1991). After touring
