LILY FAYOL
Odette Simonne Clara Fayolle, known as Lily Fayol, was born June 12, 1914 in
Allevard, Isère, France. She began her career just before World War II, gaining
early recognition with hits such as "La Guitare à Chiquita" and "Le gros Bill".
Throughout the 1940s and 1950s, she released popular songs like "Le Régiment des
mandolines" and "Les Trois Bandits de Napoli". She also appeared in films such
as La Tournée des grands ducs (1953). She married cyclist Maurice Roux and
retired from the stage, focusing on the hotel industry. She passed away on May
15, 1999 in Saint‑Raphaël, Var.
