Liniker
Brazilian singer-songwriter Liniker rose to fame in the 2010s as the lead singer
of the band Liniker e os Caramelows, a genre-bending act whose socially minded
body of work fiercely advocated for Black and LGBT rights. Born Liniker de
Barros Ferreira Campos on July 3, 1995, in Araquara, São Paulo, she was exposed
to a wide array of genres from a very young age, absorbing everything from rock
to MPB, jazz, and soul. Despite being raised by a single mother and coming face
