States, is an American singer and songwriter. Fischer began her recording career
under the pseudonym Xēna, releasing the 1983 club single “On the Upside”, before
working as a backing vocalist for artists including Luther Vandross, Chaka Khan,
and The Rolling Stones. Fischer released her debut studio album, So Intense, on
April 9, 1991, which peaked at number 5 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums
