L'or Mbongo
Laure Lema, aka L’Or Mbongo, born 6 July 1978 in Matété, Kinshasa, Democratic
Republic of Congo, is a Congolese singer-songwriter and cantor. After leaving
the University of Kinshasa, she married Christian Lemba and joined his gospel
band La Mano Di Dio, which launched her national profile. She released several
albums including ith Tina Te Eza Na Tina (2002) and Ma Robe de Glorie (2019).
She collaborated with Charles Mombaya and Junior Kadi. In 2009, she became the
UN Anti‑Mine Ambassador for the DRC, using her platform to support orphanages
and health projects in Kinshasa.
