Lorne Lofsky
Lorne Lofsky is a Canadian jazz guitarist born in Canada in 1954. Lofsky studied
at York University in the 1970s while performing in local clubs. Their debut
album, It Could Happen to You (1980), was produced by Oscar Peterson, with whom
Lofsky subsequently toured and recorded as a member of their quartet and
quintet. Between 1983 and 1991, they performed in a quartet with the guitarist
Ed Bickert, which resulted in the recording This Is New (1990). Lofsky’s solo
discography includes the albums Lorne Lofsky (1992) and Bill Please (1994).
