Los Chichos, a Spanish band formed in 1973 by singer-songwriter Juan Antonio
Jiménez Muñoz ("Jero") and brothers Julio and Emilio González, originated from
Madrid. Their breakthrough came with early singles released under Philips
Records, including the hit "Quiero ser libre" written by a 19-year-old Jero
during a brief jail sentence. Los Chichos became pioneers of the rumba flamenca
music movement, combining flamenco and rumba with the fandango and pop. The
