Los Hombres Calientes was a New Orleans-based jazz group, founded in the late
1990s. The ensemble, which included founding members Bill Summers, Irvin
Mayfield, and Jason Marsalis, quickly gained recognition for their fusion of
Latin jazz, particularly Afro-Cuban jazz, with contemporary jazz elements. Their
self-titled debut album was released in 1998 and received critical acclaim from
the New Orleans Times-Picayune. The group continued to release albums at a
