Son of country legend Willie Nelson and his fourth wife Annie D'Angelo, Lukas
Autry Nelson was born in Austin, Texas, on December 25, 1988. He grew up between
Austin and Hawaii, where he skateboarded and surfed, before following in his
father's musical footsteps. He began composing at the age of eleven and
contributed to his father's album, It Always Will Be (2004), before moving to
Los Angeles, where he formed his own band, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real,
in 2008. After three independent albums, the band gained notoriety through its
