Lulu Hughes
Louise Hugues, known professionally as Lulu Hughes, born May 14, 1967, in
Canada, is a Canadian singer who emerged as an R&B, rock, and blues performer.
Raised in a musical family, she began her career as the lead vocalist of the
group Soul What, performing in music bars across Quebec and appearing on the
television program Beau et chaud. She also worked as a soloist for the Montreal
Jubilation Gospel Choir and the theatre company Carbone 14, and served as a
backing vocalist for artists such as Dan Bigras, Roch Voisine, and Barry White.
