Luther Thomas Ingram, born on 30 November 1937 in Jackson, Tennessee, was an American R&B and soul singer. His early interest in music saw him form a gospel group, the Alton Crusaders, which included his brothers Archie Ingram and Richard Ingram. They later moved on to doo-wop and recorded as the Gardenias for Federal Records in 1956. Ingram's first solo record was released in 1965.
