Luther Thomas Ingram, born on 30 November 1937 in Jackson, Tennessee, was an
American R&B and soul singer. His early interest in music saw him form a gospel
group, the Alton Crusaders, which included his brothers Archie Ingram and
Richard Ingram. They later moved on to doo-wop and recorded as the Gardenias for
Federal Records in 1956. Ingram's first solo record was released in 1965.
However, it wasn't until he signed with KoKo Records that he achieved his
breakthrough hit "My Honey And Me", which peaked at number 55 on the Billboard
