Lynn Seaton
Lynn Seaton, a jazz double bassist, was born on July 18, 1957 in Tulsa,
Oklahoma. He began his musical journey with classical guitar but switched to
bass at age nine. Seaton's professional career commenced after moving to Ohio,
where he joined the Steve Schmidt Trio. A significant breakthrough came when he
embarked on a two-year world tour with the Count Basie Orchestra. Throughout his
career, Seaton has collaborated with notable musicians such as Woody Herman,
Jeff Hamilton, and George Shearing. He has appeared on over 125 albums,
