Maarten van Roozendaal was a Dutch singer and comedian from Heiloo, North
Holland, born on May 2, 1962. In his youth, he combined musical pursuits with
work as a bartender. His breakthrough came in 1994 when he won both the jury and
audience awards at the Cabaret Festival. Van Roozendaal released his debut album
Nacht in 1995, followed by several other albums including Adem uit in 1997 and
Kerstmis in april in 1999. His work often explored themes of life, love, and
