Madeline Elizabeth Adams, born on April 9, 1985, in Athens, Georgia, is a
singer-songwriter known as Madeline. She began performing locally in 2000 and
later fronted the dance-pop band Sugar Shakers. Known for her thought-provoking
lyrics and haunting voice, she self-released her self-titled debut album in
2001, followed by Kissing and Dancing (2003) on Plan‑It‑X Records. In 2006, she
recorded The Slow Bang with Matthew Houck at his Athens home for Orange Twin
