Maj Britt Andersen, born November 15, 1956, in Østre Toten, Norway, is a
Norwegian musician and actress. She released her debut album Et lite under in
1975 and participated in the Melodi Grand Prix 1978 with "Hør hva andre har fått
til". Andersen was part of the soul band Chipahua with her sister Inger Lise
Rypdal, where she met her future husband, Geir Holmsen. With Holmsen and writer
Trond Brænne, she released several children's albums, including Folk er rare! in
1986, which won the Spellemannprisen for best children's album of the year.
