Since 1998, Maja Ivarsson has been the lead singer of Swedish rock band The Sounds. Born in Kristianstad on October 2, 1979, at the age of 21 she joined The Sounds, a group of childhood friends with a style of alternative rock influenced by new wave and post-punk. Alongside guitarist and vocalist Felix Rodriguez, she took part in the recording of six studio albums produced up to 2020 by one of Sweden's most popular rock bands.
