Mako Sakurai, known professionally as Mako, was born on October 7, 1986, in
Japan. She is a singer and voice actress who was a member of the girl band
Bon-Bon Blanco, where she played the maracas and served as the first leader. She
played on the group's albums, including Beat Goes On (2003) and Winter Greetings
(2004). In 2005, she began voice acting for anime, performing the ending theme
"Ice Candy" for Kamichu, which marked her solo debut as a singer. In 2009, when
Bon-Bon Blanco went on hiatus, she transitioned to voice acting full-time,
