Mara!
Mara! is an Australian world music quintet that emerged in the 1980s, blending
folk and jazz textures. The group released its debut recording, Images, in 1984
on Plant Life and followed with On the Edge in 1987 and Sezoni in 1997 under
Rufus Records, before releasing Live in Europe (2001) and Sorella (2005) on
Mara! Music. Notable members include Paul Cutlan, Lloyd Swanton, Sandy Evans,
Llew Kiek, and vocalist Mara Kiek, with former collaborators Jim Denley, Michael
Haughton, and Tony Gorman contributing to early works. Mara! earned two ARIA
Awards for Best World Music Album in 1...
