Alsatian jazz accordionist Marcel Loeffler was born in 1956, and has been
playing the piano since the age of five. Diagnosed with a genetic disease that
deprived him of his sight, he nevertheless pursued his musical career, recording
his first album Sweet Chorus in 1984. Accompanied by his band, Marcel Loeffler
toured intensively and made a few studio stops to record the albums Vago and
Sessions (1996) and Note Manouche (1999) with faithful guitarist Mandino
Reinhardt. After Source Manouche (2005) and a tribute to Gus Viseur (2010) comes
the more personal Images in 2012.
