Maria del Mar Bonet i Verdaguer is a Spanish singer-songwriter born on April 27,
1947, in Palma de Mallorca. She studied ceramics before moving to Barcelona in
1967, where she joined the group Els Setze Jutges and the Nova Cançó movement.
Her repertoire included the recording “Què volen aquesta gent?”, co-written with
Lluis Serrahima, and a version of “L'àguila negra”, which received a gold disc
in Spain in 1971. Bonet released her debut studio recording Maria del Mar Bonet
